Tofino - Hiking Trails / POI
Tofino 1st Street Dock
Great views of the Tofino Harbour.
Boats and Sea-Planes come and go.
Several picnic tables at the kayak ramp.
Nice spot to catch a Sunset.
Big Tree Trail on Meares Island.
Access this Trail by Water Taxi (10 minute trip from Tofino) or travel by Kayak / Canoe.
The First part of the Trail has a rustic Boardwalk and Features some of the Biggest Ancient Cedar Trees.(15 minute hike one way)
Where the boardwalk ends, You can continue the Trail.(2 Hours hike for the full Loop Trail)
Cougar Annie's Garden.
The garden consists of a five-acre clearing, criss-crossed with over two kilometres of meandering pathways and dotted with outbuildings that once housed goats and chickens. Resurrected from a tangle of salal, Scotch broom, and salmonberry, this garden has endured for nearly one hundred years.

Lone Cone Mountain Hike on Meares Island.
You need to make use of a Tofino Water-Taxi to Meares Island.(15 min boat trip)
A 3 hour uphill Hike to the summit of Lone Cone.(+/- 6 hour round trip)
You will be rewarded with spectacular panoramic views of Tofino and the Clayoquot Sound.
The Multi Use Path (MUP) runs from Cox Bay to Tofino.
Expect to see walkers, cyclists, joggers, dogs, skateboards, roller skates etc on the path.
There are several Tofino Bicycle Rental companies in Town and near the Beach.(see Transportation on the App)

Nuu-Chah-Nulth Hiking Trail starts at the Kwisitis Visitor Centre.

Parks Canada and the Central Region Nuu-chah-nulth Language Group worked together to provide walkers with a glimpse into Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations culture.

The short trip to the top is rewarded with panoramic views of Tofino and the Clayoquot Sound found no where else in this national park.
A Radar Station was located on this hill during the cold war.

Located in Tofino's Pacific Rim National Park

Tofino Shorepine Bog Trail
This is old growth coastal temperate rainforest with a twist. Search for the plant that kills small and unwary insects and learn what kind of an environment might lead a plant to such deeds. Interpretive brochures are available at the trailhead during the park operating season.

START on WILLOWBRAE TRAIL to get on HALFMOON BAY TRAIL !!
500 m one way from the Willowbrae - Halfmoon Bay Trail junction.
1.7 km one way from Willowbrae parking lot.

Use Caution, last part of the trail is very Steep and can be Slippery when Wet !!

Wild Pacific Trail Ucluelet. (2nd entrance)
Acces this Trail near Big Beach.
4.5 to 5.5 km this section begins at the intersection of Marine and Matterson Road in Ucluelet.
This area features a pebble and shell beach ideal for picnics on sheltered tables, exploring tidepools or a surf-side wander if the tide is not high. You can rejoin the Wild.....Click for more info
Wild Pacific Trail Brown's Beach & Artist Loop Section
5.5 to 8.4 km The parking lot just past Black Rock Resort on Marine Drive is your starting point. Turn right to follow a short section of forested trail near a new road. You will soon reach a wilderness coastal trail. Be sure to walk into viewpoints, they offer the best vistas.

2.7 km Loop. (approx. 1 hour)
Amphtrite Point Lighthouse.

Wild Pacific Trail Ucluelet (Terrace Beach Interpretive Trail)
The trail is located above an ancient First Nations canoe beach.
Along the hiking trail, interpretive signs about First Nations history and plant identification signs can be found.
Access from He-Tin-Kis park parking lot in Ucluelet.
Willowbrae Trail in Ucluelet.
